Frequently Asked Questions

The Learning Enrichment Engine is a website developed by students from the Illinois Math and Science Academy for the Illinois Association of Gifted Children. Our mission is to provide access to free learning and enrichment opportunities for all K-12 students across Illinois. We aim to tailor your events by location and relevancy to ensure you have the best experience possible. For more information about our team, check out this page!

There are two main requirements for an event to be featured on the Learning Enrichment Engine. First, it must be located within Illinois. Second, admission to the event must be free or sponsorship based, meaning students can qualify for financial assistance. We aim to make every event as accessible as possible, so please reach out to us if you have any questions about if your event qualifies!

After you fill out our submit an opportunity form, we will check to make sure that your event meets all requirements. If it does, we will approve your event, typically within 2-3 business days. Your event will then be listed on our website and on our map. Once the end date of the event has passed, the event will be automatically unlisted and you will have to submit again.

If you need to update information about your event, just reach out to us via the contact form with whatever changes you'd like to make, and we will update it as soon possible!

Our newsletter aims to offer personalized event recommendations in your area. On the first of every month, you will get an email with the three closest events to you, along with three featured events that are upcoming! If this sounds interesting, sign up here!

The only data we collect is your address and email, which is used to provide you with personalized event recommendations in your area. We do not sell or share your data with any third parties, and you can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time. If you have any questions about our data usage, please reach out to us via the contact form.
